PCMC | BJP corporators criticise Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil
Pimpri : Policenama online – The corporators of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) criticised Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil and Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne alleging that their appointment is illegal.
They alleged that the civic chief has an agenda to ‘retaliate’ against us for the defeat of Parth Pawar from Maval constituency.
They said Parth Pawar does not have any official post but the civic chief conducts meetings with him in the ante chamber but does not have time to meet the corporators. They asserted that BJP will once again emerge victorious in the forthcoming civic elections.
Sagar Angolkar of BJP launched an attack on civic chief Rajesh Patil by saying he wants to ‘teach a lesson’ to the BJP. He said a senior officer should not behave in this manner. “When we want to meet him, he does not have time but spends hours chatting with Parth Pawar in the ante chamber,” he said.
“Parth Pawar does not have any post but why does Kumar give so much time to him? He does not have time to meet elected representatives,’’ Angolkar added.
Raju Bansode of NCP objected to his statement saying the civic chief has not been appointed only for two MLAs. “There is no need to drag Parth Pawar’s name into this and don’t deviate from the issue,’’ he added.
Rahul Jadhav of BJP also criticised the civic chief. “After Rajesh Patil took charge, we don’t feel that we are corporators because he has an agenda of targeting us. He is biased against us,’’ he said.
, however, praised the working style of the civic chief. “The commissioner is doing a good job. I am a corporator of BJP. Whenever I meet him to discuss some constructive work for public good, he readily agrees to do it. We should remember that we should think of the development of the entire city,’’ he added.
