Pimpri Chinchwad Police | One arrested for trashing and robbing delivery firm supervisor

Policenama | Pimpri Chinchwad Police arrested a youth and detained his aides for robbing a person from daily delivery service.

Pramod Kamble working with a delivery service firm as a supervisor was on night duty on Wednesday when the incident took place. He has lodge ac complaint with Mhalunge Police Station.

According to Police, At around 12.30 am when Kamble had gone away from his office, five unknown youths confronted him and started thrashing him. They even hit him with a water bottle.

One of the five who was carrying a sharp weapon with him threaten the Kamble and demanded cash. As he did not have any, suspects snatched his smartphones and ran away.

After a preliminary investigation, Mhalunge police (Pimpri Chinchwad Police) have arrested one suspect and detained his three aides. Police also said that they are searching for another aide who is on the run.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday attached a sugar mill worth over ₹65 crores under the anti-money laundering law in connection with the alleged Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) scam, said the ED.

ED adds a company linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and his wife is involved in the case.

The assets are currently held in the name of Guru Commodity Services Pvt. Ltd. and leased to Jarandeshwar Sugar Mills Pvt. Ltd.

“Sparkling Soil Pvt. Ltd. is holding majority shares of Jarandeshwar Sugar Mills Pvt. Ltd. Investigation has revealed that Sparkling Soil Pvt. Ltd. is a related company to Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of State of Maharashtra and Sunetra Ajit Pawar,” said the ED in a statement.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar told that he did not get any notice from the Enforcement Directorate. He also denied knowledge about the attachment of Jarendeshwar Sugar Mill in the Satara district by the probe agency.
