Pune : Policenama onlinePM Narendra Modi Visit To Pune | Since the BJP was inactive for five years, it is scared of defeat in the municipal elections. Hence, the party’s leaders in Pune have organised a tour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but this is a pathetic attempt by the BJP, said vice president of the state Congress and former MLA Mohan Joshi.

The Pune Metro project is not even 20 per cent complete but still it is being inaugurated by PM Modi. The Pune River Rejuvenation Project will also be inaugurated by the PM. The Mula Mutha River Development Project has been delayed because of careless approach of local BJP leaders and since the PMC elections are near, the project is being inaugurated by calling Modi and a show is being made. Since Puneites are aware of the reality, the BJP is making desperate attempts and the citizens are observing it, said Joshi in a press release.

In the 2017 municipal elections, the Puneites elected 100 corporators of the BJP. Earlier, they had elected an MP of BJP and six MLAs. Despite getting this much success, the BJP disappointed Puneites because of their passive approach.

The BJP has realised that public opinion is going against it and since it is seeing the writing on the wall, the party is making efforts to invite PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, said Joshi in the press release.
