Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime News | The Chandan Nagar police have arrested an accused in the POCSO and rape case after two years. After committing the crime, the accused had fled to Odisha. The police took this action by laying a trap in the Pune station area. The accused has been identified as Sonya alias Swapnil Nagnath Kamble (23), a resident of Hinjewadi. (Pune Crime News)

 

In 2021, a POCSO and a rape FIR was registered against Kamble at the Chandan Nagar police station. After the FIR was registered, the accused ran away to Odisha. The police came to know that the accused was working in Savile Pvt Ltd in Odisha and that he was going to come to Pune by train. A trap was laid at the Pune station area and he was apprehended. API Bhagwan Kamble is carrying out further probe.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including Officer in Charge Rajendra Landge, PI Jagannath Jankar, API Nilesh Ghorpade, policeman Shrikant Shende, Shrikant Kodre, Suraj Jadhav, Shekhar Shinde, Ganesh Handgar and Shivaji Dhande under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Shashikant Borate and ACP Kishore Jadhav.
