Satara : Policenama online – The relatives of missing Police Inspector Sangram Tate (a resident of Yashwant Nagar, Jalna and hailing from Marul village in Karad taluka of Satara district) working in ACB’s Jalna office have informed that Tate has been found near Shirwal.
Tate was missing since February 2 and had left home in the night on the pretext of meeting a friend. He could not be contacted later. Tate was not carrying his mobile and had not taken his car. The disappearance of a police officer had shaken up the police force.
Officials of ACB’s Jalna office were searching for Tate who has been found after 13 days in an unconscious condition. He is being treated in a private hospital. His relatives informed about Tate being found in an unconscious state after 13 days.
Tate had been promoted 20 days ago and had been transferred to the Konkan region. He left his Jalna residence on February 2. His wife started searching for him after he did not turn up for a long time. She informed the police about her husband had not returned home. The police started looking for him but there was no trace of him.
A missing complaint was registered at Jalna police station. The police started searching for him. They received reports that Tate had been seen in Sangli four days ago but the police failed to locate him.
A man saw that an unidentified man was lying in an unconscious condition in Shirwal in Satara district. A mobile number was written on the man’s hand. When the man called on the number, Tate’s wife picked up the call and identified the man as her husband after the man described the features of the unconscious man. She informed her relatives in Karad that Tate had been found in Shirwal.
The relatives immediately went to Shirwal. After the man was identified as Sangram Tate, he was given primary treatment. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Karad, said one of Tate’s relatives, Shivajirao Ingwale.
