Mumbai : Policenama online  – Police Officer Transfer | A case of extortion was filed against former Mumbai CP Param Bir Singh and five other police officers at the Marine Drive police station. The police officers concerned have been transferred in the public interest. They have now been attached to the office of the Additional Commissioner of Police (Armed Police), Naigaon (Mumbai).

Commissioner of Police Hemant Nagrale issued an order in this regard.

DCP Akbar Pathan (current posting: Crime Branch, Detection, D-1, Mumbai), DCP Parag Manere (current posting: EOW, Mumbai), ACP Sanjay Patil (current posting: Crime Branch, Mumbai), ACP Siddharth Shinde (current posting: Crime Branch, Mumbai), PI Asha Korake (current posting: Azad Maidan police station, Mumbai) have been attached to the office of Additional Commissioner of Police (Armed Police), Naigaon, Mumbai.

Orders have been issued to relieve the officers concerned immediately.

Meanwhile, DCP Prakash Jadhav has been given the additional charge of DCP Akbar Pathan. DCP Dr Shrikant Paropkari has been given the additional charge of DCP Manere. Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) will make an alternative arrangement with regard to the official charge of ACPs Patil and Shinde. Additional CP (South Regional Division) will arrange for PI Korke’s charge internally.
