Pune: Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar gets President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service

Pune: The President’s Police Medals have been announced on the eve of Independence Day. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), attached with the Pune Police Commissionerate, Satish Govekar has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM).

ACP Govekar is currently posted at the Crime Branch of the Pune City Police Force. He started his career as a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI). He has played an important role in cracking many major cases. He has served in the Crime Branch for many years.

Addl DGP Chiranjeev Prasad and Maharashtra Intelligence Academy, Pune, Director Rajendra Dahale have also got the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

As many as 39 police officers and personnel from Maharashtra have been awarded the President’s medal for their meritorious services.
