Pune | BJP, MVA have approached MNS for an alliance: Raj Thackeray

Pune : Policenama online – Ahead of the civic polls, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has made it clear that his party has not decided to align (Pune) with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“But I have received proposals from the BJP and Mahavikas the Agahadi (MVA) also,” he added.
He was speaking after inaugurating an E-learning school in Kondhwa on Friday. Thackeray instructed party workers to agitate against the ruling parties over important issues.
Thackeray’s directive to his workers to conduct agitations against the BJP surprised many in the backdrop of the MNS chief’s growing proximity with the BJP.
He said, “I have received alliance proposals from the MVS as well as the BJP. But I have not made any decision yet. I will let you know about any such decision.”
He said, “Our corporators fulfil commitments made to the public. I saw many inauguration boards installed by other parties but nothing happened beyond that. Our elected corporators are doing good work.”
He recalled that there were no E-learning schools during his childhood. Corona has changed everything. Students passed the SSC without appearing for the board examination. He also expressed concern over the future of students in the background of the pandemic.
