36-year-old woman raped in Pune; case filed against senior lawyer at Kondhwa police station

Vasant Dhadku Patil (75), a resident of Godrej Rosewood Society, Shivajinagar, Pune is the lawyer against whom a case has been filed. In this connection, a 36-year-old woman staying in Kondhwa has lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. The incident happened at Deccan, Gokul Nagar-Kondhwa and Shaniwar Peth from March 2019 to May 18, 2022.
According to the police, the accused is a lawyer and he threatened the woman that he will defame her by giving wrong information to her husband. He also threatened that he would harm her child. He promised her that he will transfer the flat which she had rented by paying a high deposit, will be transferred to her. He took her to the Shaniwar Peth flat and forcefully established sexual relations with her.
Since the complainant was fed up, she lodged a complaint with the police and API Shilamkar is investigating the case.
