Pune: Policenama online –Pune Crime | A firing incident has been reported in a crowded area in Pune. Due to previous enmity between two members of traders’ association in Fashion Street area in Camp area in Pune, a person fired at another man from a gun. The incident took place on Tuesday night at 8.30 pm. The incident created a flutter in the area. The police rushed to the spot after they were informed about the incident.
Tawfiq Akhtra Shaikh (45), a resident of Bhimpura, Camp was injured and he was admitted to a nearby hospital. According to available information, the bullet was fired by Zulfiqar Sheikh. An FIR has been filed at the Lashkar police station.
According to the police, Shaikh and the accused Zulfiqar Sheikh are members of a traders’ association. They were having a dispute for many days. On Tuesday night, Tawfiq Shaikh came near the shop of ABC Farm on Fashion Street and Zulfiqar Sheikh fired at him from a pistol. Tawfiq was injured in the incident. Senior PI Ashok Kadam of Lashkar police station rushed to the spot after he was informed about the incident.
