Case filed against 8 people for cheating You Broadband of Rs 1.5 cr
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | There is a huge demand for internet in the city and many companies are increasing their network by laying cables. Cable and other equipment were taken and half of it was sold. A fictitious measurement book sheet was made and despite not doing the work, a bill of Rs 1.5 crore for having installed the equipment was submitted and You Broadband was cheated. The Chatuhshrungi police have registered a case against eight persons.
The accused have been identified as Samir Shaikh, a resident of Ghorpadigaon, Sudhakar Manikrao Lekule, a resident of Hingoli, Manoj Tiwari, a resident of Talegaon Dabhade, Mangesh Bhagwan Sartape, Sajid Badshah Shaikh, a resident of Warje Malwadi, Maps Industries India Pvt Ltd of Lohegaon, Om Enterprises owner Sachin Gangadhar Dhanshetty, a resident of Guruwar Peth and Yogesh Hotkar. Girish Gopinathan Nair (43), a resident of Mumbai has filed a complaint. The incident took place at You Broadband work lab from April 2020 to September 2021.
The accused hatched a plan and purchased OFC and HFC equipment from the work lab and the godown of You Broadband and installed only half of it. They sold the remaining equipment and prepared a fictitious measurement book sheet and signed them.
Maps Industries India Pvt Ltd and Om Enterprises submitted a bill to the company based on the measurement book sheet. Om Enterprises submitted a bill of Rs 17 lakh 46 thousand 346 and Maps Industries submitted a bill of Rs 1 crore 29 lakh 43 thousand 278 rupees and cheated You Broadband of Rs 1 crore 47 lakh 43 thousand 624.
Senior PI Rajkumar Waghchaure is investigating the case.
