Faulty treatment leads to teacher’s death: FIR filed against doctor after complaint from teacher’s husband

Pimpri : Policenama online Pune Crime | A shocking incident has taken place in Wakad. A woman was treated in a careless manner without diagnosis. Because of the faulty treatment, a teacher who was the wife of a policeman, died. An FIR has been filed against the doctor. The teacher has been identified as Manjusha Santosh Bhagwat (43). The incident took place at Life Life Clinic, Main Road Wakad, Vishal Nagar, Jagtap Dairy from September 1 to 3 in September 2018. (Pune Crime)

 

Santosh Tukaram Bhagwat (48), a resident of Gulmohar Colony, Vishal Nagar, Jagtap Dairy, Aundh-Wakad Road, Pune has filed a complaint on April 10 at Wakad police station. The police have filed an FIR against Dr Pradeep H. Patil.

 

The complainant, Santosh Bhagwat, is working as a constable in the special branch of the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate. Since his wife Manjusha was unwell, she was admitted to a hospital on September 1, 2018. Manjusha was suffering from pneumonia but Dr Patil did not make a proper diagnosis. He only did a blood test and said the number of platelets had reduced. He gave treatment to Manjusha as per his whims and fancies. On September 4, 2018, Manjusha’s health worsened. Santosh Bhagwat took her to a hospital in Thergaon but she died during treatment on September 5, 2018.

 

The doctors declared that Manjusha had died due to pneumonia. The complainant, Santosh Bhagwat, filed a complaint with the police. The police have filed an FIR three and half years after the incident.
