Pune Crime | ‘If you don’t marry me, I will not let you marry anyone else!’; boy threatens to throw acid on girl’s face
Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime | In the background of a case of murder and suicide in Pashan, where a spurned lover killed a young woman for refusing to marry him and then ended his life, in another case, a boy threatened to throw acid on the face of a young woman.
A 16-year-old girl, who was celebrating her birthday in a hotel with friends, was proposed to marry and threatened to throw acid on her face saying, “If you are not mine, I will not let you be anyone else’s.”
In this case, a 16-year-old girl has lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshringi Police Station. The police have registered a case against Amol Navgire. The incident took place at 6.30 pm at Round The Clock Cafe in Shivnagar, Pashan on Monday.
According to the details provided by the police, accused Amol is an acquaintance of the complainant. She had gone to the hotel to celebrate her birthday with her friends. Amol came there with his friends. He held the complainant’s hand and said, “Let’s talk outside the hotel” and dragged her outside. He did the act that would cause shame to her. When she came out shaking hands, he threatened her and warned that “If you do not want to marry me, I will not let you marry anyone else”. Then he threatened to throw acid on her face. Scared, she approached the police. PSI Chalke is conducting the investigation.
