Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime | When the police were searching for an accused, his brother Santosh Gangadhar Potbhare created a ruckus in the premises of MIDC Bhosari police station. He also threatened officials that his wife was a police woman and he would complain to the police commissioner. A woman, Kavita Prakash Dodke, who was wearing a police uniform, tried to create obstruction in the official work. The police have arrested the bogus policewoman and Santosh Potbhare. Policeman Bhagwat Sandipan Shep (29), has lodged a complaint at the MIDC Bhosari police station. The police have arrested Santosh Potbhare (24), a resident of Balaji Nagar, Bhosari and Kavita Dodke (27), a resident of Mohan Nagar, Chinchwad. The incident took place on Sunday (May 8) at 8.30 pm to 8.45 p.m. on the premises of MIDC Bhosari police station.

 

According to the police, the complainant was searching for the accused Balu Gangadhar Potbhare in Balaji Nagar area. He asked accused Santosh Potbhare about the whereabouts of Balu Potbhare. He promised to show Balu Potbhare’s house but ran away from the spot. When the complainant asked locals about Santosh Potbhare, he was told that Santosh is the brother of Balu Potbhare.

 

When the complainant called Santosh and asked him about Balu Potbhare, Santosh gave evasive replies. On the premises of the police station, he created a ruckus by saying that his would-be wife is a police woman and threatened to lodge a complaint to the police chief. Accused Kavita Dodke was wearing a police uniform and told the police that she was posted in the Mumbai police and tried to create obstruction in government work. The police have arrested both the accused and further investigation is being carried out by PSI RB Jadhav.
