Minor detained by Crime Branch for cutting cake by sickle and making video viral

Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | Officials of Crime Branch Unit 1 have detained a minor boy for uploading on social media, a video of him cutting his birthday cake with a sickle and dancing with the weapon. This action was taken on Monday in Lohianagar.
When the officials of Unit 1 of the Crime Branch were patrolling, they received information about a video which had been uploaded on the social media which showed youths dancing after cutting a birthday cake by a sickle in PMC Colony number 9. Hence, a team from Unit 1 raided the area along with a panch and arrested a boy and seized a sickle worth Rs 500. A case has been registered under the Arms Act against the minor boy at the Khadak police station.
At present, the incidents of birthdays being celebrated at chowks by youths are increasing and cakes are cut by using weapons like sword and sickle to spread terror. The videos of these celebrations are uploaded on social media. The police have warned that strong action will be taken against those who organise such birthday celebrations.
This action was taken by a team of police officials including senior police inspector Shailesh Sankhe, PSI Sanjay Gaikwad, policemen Amol Pawar, Imran Shaikh, Mahesh Bamgude, Tushar Malvadkar and Aiyyaz Daddikar under the guidance from CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Additional CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Gajanan Tompe.
