Pune Crime News | Ganja worth ₹16 lakh seized from Pune station area; Two people arrested from Satara and Solapur districts

PUNE : Pune Crime News | The ANC-2 unit of Pune city police Crime Branch has arrested two people from opposite Tadiwala Road railway gate in Pune station area. The police have seized 81 kg ganja worth ₹16.35 lakh.

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Shashikant Changdev Nalawade (29), a resident of Kodoli, Satara and Prateek Yuvraj Ohol (19), a resident of Solapur district. On May 29, 2023, officials of ANC-2 were patrolling in the limits of Bund Garden police station. They came to know that policeman Yogesh Mandhre was going to arrive in the area to sell ganja. The information was verified.

 

The ANC-2 team laid a trap and arrested the accused. The police seized 81 kg ganja worth ₹16.35 lakh and two mobiles worth ₹20,000 and two bags worth ₹3,000 and cash of ₹1,150 totally worth ₹16.59 lakh. An FIR has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Bund Garden police station.

 

The accused, Shashikant Changdev Nalawade, was most wanted in an FIR registered under the NDPS Act at the Samarth police station. The action was taken by PI Sunil Thopte, PSI Shubhangi Narke, API Shivaji Ghule, policeman Yogesh Mandhre, policeman Santosh Deshpande, policeman Chetan Gaikwad, policeman Prashant Bomdandi, policeman Sandip Jadhav, policeman Mayur Suryavanshi, policeman Mahesh Saunkhe, policeman Sahil Sayyad Shaikh, policeman Sandip Shelke, policeman Nitin Jagdale, policeman Yuvraj Kamble, policeman Azim Shaikh and policeman Dinesh Bastewad under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende and ACP Satish Govekar.
