Pune Crime News | Swargate police arrest autorickshaw driver who had bitten of part of passenger’s ear
PUNE : Pune Crime News | A shocking incident had taken place when an auto driver had bitten of part of a passenger’s ear after a dispute over fare. The auto driver had escaped after the incident. The Swargate police arrested him after an intensive search. The incident had taken place on June1 at 1 am at the Swargate bus stand. The auto driver has been identified as Adesh Sanjay Kale (39), a resident of Parvati Darshan.
The auto driver had assaulted the passenger over a dispute about fare and bitten part of his ear. An FIR had been registered against the auto driver under sections 307, 325, 34 of the IPC and criminal law amendment at the Swargate police station.
According to the police, the complainant had come to Swargate bus stand to go to his native place Alibaug. He had an argument with an auto driver over fare. Some auto drivers present there kicked him. The auto driver with whom the complainant had an argument, assaulted him with a sickle but the complainant took an evasive action and he fell to the ground. The auto driver bit of part of passenger’s ear and escaped.
When the police were searching for him, policemen Anis Shaikh and Shiva Gaikwad came to know that the accused was a notorious criminal and he was at Baramati. When the police carried out a technical investigation, the came to know that he had gone to Pune. They came to know that he was going to visit the Swargate area. The police laid a trap at the Swargate ST stand and arrested the accused at 10 pm, The accused is a notorious criminal and three murder and four other serious crimes are registered against him. API Ashwini Bavche is carrying out further probe.
The action was taken by Sr PI Ashok Indalkar, PI Somnath Jadhav, API Prashant Sande, PSI Ashok Yewle, policemen Mukund Taru, Shiva Gaikwad, Feroz Shaikh, Ramesh Chavan, Sandip Ghule, Anis Shaikh, Deepak Khendad, Suraj Pawar, Pravin Godse and policewoman Sangolkar under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Smartana Patil, ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar.
