Pune Crime News | Youth sexually assaults girl after promising to marry her; Gets engaged to another girl

Pune: Policenama online  – Pune Crime News | A youth had established a physical relationship with a girl for four years by promising to marry her. He had also borrowed ₹1 lakh from her. However, he got engaged to another girl, without marrying his lover. His family members threatened her that he should stop dreaming about marrying their son or they would teach her a lesson. A 23-year-old resident of Vadgaon Sheri has lodged a complaint (343/23) at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. An FIR has been registered against Shubhm Paigude, Rohit Paigude, Anil Paigude, Sangeeta Paigude and Balasaheb Paigude, all residents of Aglamb, Haveli taluka. The incident has been going on since July 2019.

According to the police, Shubham Paigude promised to marry the complainant. He forcefully established physical relations with her at Hotel Marathe Shahi at Katraj. He also borrowed ₹1 lakh from her. Shubham’s brother Rohit told the complainant that she will have to give ₹5 lakh if she wants to marry Shubham. Rohit informed his parents about the affair between Shubham and the girl. Shubham’s parents abused the complainant and got Shubham engaged to another girl. When the complainant went to question Shubham’s parents, Rohit abused her and assaulted her. He also threatened her to forget Shubham or he would teach her a lesson. PSI Kathle is probing the case.
