Shop owner told to provide bail amount; criminal vandalises shop with 8 aides; FIR filed at Kondhwa police station
Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime | A criminal accompanied by 7-8 aides entered a shop and damaged the furniture and other goods after the shop owner refused to pay the bail amount and give a ransom of Rs 5,000. Rs one lakh 87 thousand 500 were stolen from the counter. The Kondhwa police have registered a robbery case and arrested a notorious criminal. (Pune Crime)
Mangesh Uttam Lonkar (34), a resident of Yashoda Mini Market, Kondhwa has lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. Accordingly, the police have filed a case against Kunal Ranapratap Lonkar, Sairaj Ranapratap Lonkar (23), a resident of Kondhwa and his 7-8 aides. Sairaj Lonkar has been arrested. The incident happened at Yashoda Mini Market at Kondhwa on Saturday at 4.15 pm.
According to the police, Kunal Lonkar is a cousin of complainant Mangesh Lonkar. When Mangesh was in the shop, Kunal, Sairaj and their aides came to the shop. They asked the complainant to pay the bail amount in a court case and demanded Rs 5 thousand. The complainant refused. Since they were angry, they entered the shop carrying wooden sticks. An employee was brutally assaulted and two TV sets were destroyed. They stole Rs 1 lakh 87 thousand 500 from the counter. They raised an uproar and terrorised the passers-by.
The Kondhwa police are investigating the case.
