Two accused in Narayangaon murder case arrested; pistol and cartridge seized
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | The Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) of Crime Branch of the Pune police has arrested two persons for killing Rohidas Pable, a resident of Kaval Pimpri in Junnar taluka, with sharp weapons. A country-made pistol and a live cartridge has been seized from the accused. An FIR has been registered at the Narayangaon police station.
The accused have been identified as Dnyaneshwar Shrikant Pable (24) and Dattatraya Vishwanath Bhakre (22), both residents of Kaval Pimpri, Junnar taluka, district Pune. Two policemen of the AEC were patrolling in the jurisdiction of Yerawada police station when they came to know that two persons are at Wadia Bungalow BRTS stop and they have a country made pistol. The police laid a trap and arrested them. When they were searched, a country made pistol and a cartridge were found. A case has been filed against the accused under the Arms Act at the Yerawada police station.
After they were questioned, they admitted killing Rohidas Pable, a resident of Kaval Pimpri, Junnar taluka, Pune district) over previous enmity on March 9 at 10.30 pm. The accused hit the victim on his head with a sharp weapon and killed him.
The action was taken a team of police officials including AEC-2’s Police Inspector Balaji Pandhre, AEC-1’s Police Inspector Arvind Mane, PSI Shrikant Chavan, policemen Shailesh Surve, Sachin Ahivale, Pradip Shitole, Vijay Gurav, Vinod Salunke, Rahul Uttarkar, Sangram Shingare, Saidoba Bhojrao, Amol Pilane, Pravin Padval, Chetan Shirolkar, Pradip Gade and Rupali Karnavar under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Gajanan Tompe.
