Two arrested for attacking policemen and trying to steal money from ATM centre

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime | The beat marshall of the Hadapsar police station went to an ATM centre after being informed that some unidentified people were trying to break it. Two persons attacked the marshall with a sickle. However, the police arrested the two people. (Pune Crime)

 

The accused have been identified as Prashant Abhiman Kasbe (19), a resident of Chavan Nagar, Dhankawadi and Tejas Raju Jadhav (19), a resident of Ambegaon Pathar. The incident took place at IDBI Bank’s ATM centre located near Akashwani in Hadapsar at 3.21 am on Wednesday.

 

Policeman Shyam Pandurangrao Yedle (35) has filed a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. The security of all ATM centres of IDBI Bank has been entrusted to a private company. The footage of the CCTV camera installed at the ATM centre is monitored at the police control room. Two thieves entered the ATM centre of IDBI Bank located near Akashwani at Hadapsar at 3 am. They tried to break the machine and steal the money. The personnel at the police control room realised this and informed the Hadapsar police station.

 

After they were informed, Marshall Shyam Yedle and his colleagues reached the spot. Prashant Kasbe tried to attack Shyam Yedle with a sickle. Tejas Jadhav beat them up by kicking them. However, despite this, the policemen managed to overpower both of them. Additional police personnel reached the spot and they arrested the accused.
