Woman, son held for killing husband by Bharati Vidyapeeth police

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime | A woman throttled her husband because he used to doubt her character. To avoid creating suspicion, she hanged her husband’s body in a temple near her house. However, the post-mortem report revealed that he had been beaten up and throttled. The Bharati Vidyapeeth police have arrested the woman and her minor son. (Pune Crime)

 

The deceased has been identified as Prakash Kisan Jadhav (42), a resident of near Laxmi Mata temple, Sundha Matanagar, Katraj. The police have arrested his wife Shalan Prakash Jadhav (40) and apprehended her minor son. The incident had taken place on April 1 in the early morning hours near Laxmi Mata temple in Katraj.

 

The Sassoon Hospital authorities had sent a report to the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station that Prakash Jadhav had not hanged himself and his death had taken place due to throttling and internal injuries on the head. The police carried out an investigation and questioned his family members. However, they did not suspect anybody.

 

Policemen Harshal Shinde, Dhanaji Dhotre and Shivdatta Gaikwad came to know that there was a quarrel between the couple and Prakash had been beaten up. The police questioned his wife and son. The son told the police that there were arguments over his mother’s alleged immoral relationship and he throttled his father and had banged his head on the wall. After he became unconscious, he and his mother hanged him in the temple and pretended that his father had committed suicide. The boy’s mother admitted killing her husband during questioning.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including API Vaibhav Gaikwad, PSI Dhiraj Gupta, policemen Ganesh Bhosale, Ravindra Chippa, Somnath Sutar, Sachin Pawar, Harshal Shinde, Santosh Khatal, Ganesh Shende, Dhanaji Dhotre, Sachin Gade, Shivdatt Gaikwad, Rahul Tambe, Ashish Gaikwad, Vikram Sawant, Akash Phasge, Abhijit Jadhav, Rahul Shendge, Ganesh Sutar and Tulshiram Tembhurne under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Jt CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale, DCP Sagar Patil, ACP Sushma Chavan, Senior PI Jagannath Kalaskar, PI Sangita Yadav and PI Vijay Puranik.
