Youth cheated of Rs 2 lakh under the guise of providing loan under Prime Minister Mudra Finance scheme

A 22-year-old youth staying in Karve Nagar has lodged a complaint at the Warje police station. Accordingly, the police have filed an FIR against Santosh Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Ohm Ratan and Jaykishan. The incident took place between November 26, 2021 and seven-eight days after that.
The centre has started the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Scheme to encourage entrepreneurship in the country. Youths get loans at low interest under the scheme. The complainant had made an application to procure a personal loan to the Mudra Finance. Santosh Kumar called him and convinced him that he will help him in procuring the loan. He told the complainant to transfer Rs 2 lakh 5 thousand as processing fees and loan transfer to various bank accounts online. However, even after transferring the money, the complainant did not get the loan. After he realised that he had been cheated, he lodged a complaint with the police and PI Bagwe is probing the case.
