Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A youth had been killed in Shivne on March 16 after being assaulted with sharp weapons. The police had arrested four persons in connection with the case. A probe carried out by the Warje Malwadi police has revealed that the conspiracy had been hatched by his girlfriend and she has been arrested. The number of those arrested has gone up to five. The deceased has been identified as Pradumnya Prakash Kamble (22), a resident of Ramoshiwadi, Senapati Bapat Road. The arrested accused have been identified as Ajay Vijay Paigude (19), Vijay Kisan Paigude (50), Vandana Vijay Paigude (40), all residents of Sai Shraddha Residency, Dangat Patil Nagar, Shivne, Sagar Govind Rathod (21), a resident of Laxminagar, Dahanukar Colony, Kothrud. The police have arrested the girlfriend of the deceased Prajakta Paigude for hatching the plan.
On March 16 in Dangat Nagar, Prajakta’s parents, brother and his friend had brutally assaulted the deceased by using sharp weapons, iron rods and cement blocks which had resulted in his death. Since the role of Prajakta was exposed in planning the crime, she has been arrested by the police. An FIR under the Atrocities Act has been registered at the Warje Malwadi police station. ACP Rukmini Galande is carrying out further probe.
Prajakta and Pradumnya were in love but her parents had opposed their relationship. Pradyumna had come to Prajakta’s house. In the evening after her parents and brother came home, they beat him up in the house and later on the road outside their house. The police rushed to the spot after being informed and admitted Pradyumna to a hospital.
He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. The police arrested four persons in connection with the case. The police have ruled out that Pradyumna’s eyes and private parts were injured. The post-mortem report had not revealed anything about this.
Prajakta was shocked by Pradyumna’s death and she tried to commit suicide by hanging herself to a fan and cutting her veins. The police broke open the door and stopped her from taking the extreme step.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including ACP Rukmini Galande, Senior PI Shankar Khatke, PSI Narendra Mundhe, PSI Manoj Bagal, PSI RN Parve, PSI Amol Sawant and the team in the police station under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale and DCP Purnima Gaikwad.
