Pune: Students of Fergusson college are furious over the blunder error in the exam results, students have complained about discrepancy in the results, which subsequently has led to issues in admission for other courses. The marks in the provisional certificate do not match the actual result, delaying the whole  admission process for new courses.

It has been a week since the results are out for all final year courses, since then students are having problems due to the error in exam results. Their provisional marks don’t match their actual mark list, which is delaying their further admission process to various other courses. The students have also asked college to conduct backlog examinations, these demands are taken to the officials.

A final year student said that he already missed the deadline to apply for the post of a guard. “Now that I got my provisional marksheet, the problem is yet not solved because my provisional marks do not match the original marks that I attained.  He further added that We now have  to approach college if we want to change the results.

College has said that we are helping all those who are approaching us with the problems, but many students who have migrated to their native cities due to the COVID-19 does not stand a chance to get a help from the college, and its creating unrest amongst  the students, who can’t approach college  if they want to get their marks corrected.

NM Kulkarni, Vice principal of Fergusson college told media persons that the provisional results are being provided to those who need it. He claimed that these exam results are correct 99 per cent of times. He further added that “we are helping those who approach us with problems. The backlog exams will take place in January so that students get a fair chance.’’
