Pune | Jumbo Covid Centres likely to continue to function, says Ajit Pawar
Pune : Policenama online – The reported drop in the number of Covid-19 cases is relieving. However, concerns are being expressed about a new variant of the disease, Omicron, in South Africa. In this backdrop, the Jumbo Covid Centres in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad may continue to function. A decision in this regard will be taken on December 31, said Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.
He was speaking after a Covid-19 review meeting on Saturday.
Meanwhile, concessions in the norms to hold public functions with 50 percent attendance in open spaces in the city have been relaxed further. The annual Bhimthadi Jatra, the village fair, will be allowed to be held in the city. However, the protocol needs to be followed strictly at all these places, said Pawar.
Theatres, cinema halls can use full capacity from December 1
