Pune Katraj Zoo | Dog park to come up near Katraj zoo

Pune : Pune Katraj Zoo | The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will build a dog park on the public-private-participation (PPP) basis adjacent to Katraj-Kondhwa road on the premises of the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park in Katraj. The Municipal Commissioner recently okayed a proposal in this regard. This was revealed by Addl Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Binwade.

A flyover is being built on Katraj-Dehu road bypass from Wonder City to Rajas housing society. 3.5 acres of land would remain vacant after the flyover is built. The dog park will be built on this land to save it from encroachments.

The park will have facilities such as a dog pond, a jogging track and a dispensary. Entry to the park will be charged. Dog lovers from Katraj and south Pune will be able to avail these facilities, said Addl Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Binwade.
