Pune Katraj Zoo | PMC to set up dog park near Rajiv Gandhi Zoo at Katraj

PUNE : Pune Katraj Zoo | Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Binwade said that a dog park would be set up on a plot on the corner of Katraj-Kondhwa Road near the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park. He said that the municipal commissioner had recently given his approval for the project.

A flyover is being built between Wonder City to Rajas Society on the Katraj Dehu Road Bypass through an area belonging to the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park. Because of this flyover, a three and a half acre area near the flyover would remain unutilised. A dog park has been planned in the area to prevent encroachment.

Facilities like a dog pond, jogging track and a dispensary would be created in the area. An entry fee would be charged and the dog park would be built on the PPP basis. The dog park will prove useful for dog lovers of Katraj and south Pune, said Binwade.
