Pune: Kondhwa MSEDCL employees beaten up by unidentified men over day-long power outage

Pune: Employees of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) were beaten up by four unidentified men in Kondhwa area. The incident happened on Friday in the Bhagyoday Nagar area.
MSEDCL employee Sachin Jaybhay (35) has filed a complaint in this regard at Kondhwa police station. He works as a technician with the power utility service provider in the state. Based on his complaint, FIR has been registered against four unidentified persons at the Kondhwa police station.
According to police, Bhagyoday Nagar area in Kondhwa had faced power outage problems for the entire day. Several complaints were lodged with the MSEDCL office regarding this. Upon receiving these complaints, the employees of MSEDCL along with Sachin Jaybhay reached Bhagyoday Nagar area. They were trying to locate the ‘fault’ in power supply lines. While they were working at a spot, four unknown persons approached them. They started arguing and abusing the MSEDCL employees. After this heated argument, the four persons beat up the MSEDCL employees and fled from the spot.
