Pune: Lonavala ASP Satya Sai Karthik Targets Late-Night Bars, Cracks Down on Two Establishments

Pune: After taking strict action against the illegal business, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Lonavala Sub Division, Satya Sai Karthik, has now focused his attention on the bars that do not follow the given time limit and operate late at night. Accordingly, he has taken action against two orchestra bars in Vadgaon Maval and Kamshet.

Deepa Bar & Restaurant (Kamshet) and Flavours Bar & Restaurant (Vadgaon Maval) are the names of the bars that have been cracked down by police for their late-night operations.

The administration has set a time limit for hotels and restaurants in Pune rural district. Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police Satya Sai Karthik learnt that some hotels were not following the rules. To confirm this, Karthik and his team started checking the open orchestra bars after midnight. It was observed that food and liquor were being sold to the customers in these two orchestra bars without following the time limit.

Accordingly, legal action has been taken against both of these bar owners under Section 33 (W) 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The police also said that strict legal action will continue to be taken against hoteliers who violate the rules. Satya Sai Karthik has appealed that the hoteliers should strictly follow the rules and time constraints laid down by the police.
