The cost of transporting bodies is very high. One has to pay a sum of minimum ₹5,000 to transport the body by an ambulance. This expenditure is beyond the limits of the common man. The cost of transporting the body to another state is extremely high.

The details of the deceased have to be registered in the parcel office. After completing the formalities and payment of charges, the body is kept in a SLR coach of a train. The coach is kept empty. Two SLR coaches are attached to mail and express trains in the front and back. Goods weighing up to four tonnes are transported through them.
