Pune News: Naxalites funded Elgar Parishad is a pure lie: Prakash Ambedkar

The two-member Koregaon-Bhima Inquiry Committee, comprising Justice JN Patel (retd) and former Chief Secretary Sumit Malik, has been set up to investigate the matter. The panel is cross-examining various politicians, government officials, gram panchayat members and sarpanches and witnesses in Mumbai and Pune. Ambedkar was cross-examined on Thursday by Adv BG Bansod and Adv Kiran Channe.
The police have alleged that the Elgar Parishad was funded by Naxalites and Maoists. “This allegation is a pure lie. Let me cross-examine the police officers who made it. The officials concerned should be summoned again,” said Ambedkar. Elgar Parishad organizer Harshali Potdar is scheduled to be cross-examined on Friday.
