Pune | Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by dumper in Hadapsar
Pune : Policenama online – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a dumper in front of Bunter School in Hadapsar on Monday morning.
The pedestrian, whose foot came under the rear wheel of the dumper, was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital by a passer-by. The incident occurred at about 9 am on Monday.
The police rushed to the spot and nabbed the dumper driver who was about to flee. The traffic on Saswad Road came to a standstill after the accident. The traffic police moved the dumper to clear the way for vehicles.
Those who witnessed the incident said that the pedestrian had bent down to pick up his tobacco packet when a two-wheeler hit him. It was followed by a dumper which injured his foot badly.
