(Pune) Manchar : Policenama online – The State Home Department has granted administrative approval to construct a building to accommodate the Economic Offences Wing, Cyber Police Station and District Traffic Branch sub-centre near the Manchar police station. It would be built at an estimated cost of over Rs 8.96 crore. Construction will start after the tender process is completed, said State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil.

A government resolution has been issued in this regard. The estimate of expenditure for the building has been prepared by the Sub-Divisional Engineer, PWD, Ghodegaon (taluka Ambegaon).

A directive issued in this connection by the state government official, Narayan Mane, stated that the officials concerned should first confirm that construction is allowed on the land from the town planning department’s view.

The proposed Economic Offences Wing, Cyber Police Station and the District Traffic Branch sub-centre would help people from Ambegaon, Khed, and Junnar talukas, who will not have to travel to Pune. Citizens will get all facilities from these departments in Manchar. The cyber centre would help curb crimes, said SP Dr Abhinav Deshmukh.
