Pune : Policenama online – The police have taken action under MCOCA against the gang led by Rishabh alias Guddya Yuvraj Alhat (24), a resident of RPS Tower, Sathe Vasti, Lohegaon.

Alhat is involved in many crimes like attempt to murder, causing serious injury, robbery, house break-ins and also harboured weapons illegally in the jurisdiction of Vimantal police station. He was repeatedly committing crimes despite preventive measures by the police.

Additional Police Commissioner Namdev Chavan approved the action against the Alhat gang. This is the 64th action taken under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta.

Along with Alhat, action has also been taken against his aides Shambhu Balaji Kavle (22) and Kan Bhausaheb Rakhapsare (22), both residents of Swami Samarth Nagar, Sathe Vasti, Lohegaon.

Senior police inspector Bharat Jadhav and Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone 4) Rohidas Pawar had submitted a proposal to Additional Police Commissioner Namdev Chavan seeking action against Alhat gang. Hence, action was taken against Alhat, Kavle and Rakhapsare.

Police inspector (crime) Mangesh Jagtap, sub-inspector HS Kollure and policemen Umesh Dhende and Surya Jadhav played an important role.
