Pune | Rajnath Singh inaugurates Multi-Terrain Artillery Gun (MArG)-155–BR built indigenously by Bharat Forge Ltd
Pune : Policenama online – Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday inaugurated the Multi-Terrain Artillery Gun (MArG)-155-BR developed by leading defence equipment manufacturer Bharat Forge Ltd.
Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Naravane and Bharat Forge Chairman & MD Baba Kalyani were present. MArG-155-BR is mounted on a heavy mobility vehicle and is one-of-its-kind artillery system in the world. It can smoothly scale difficult steep gradients. Its distinctive feature is its ‘shoot and scoot’ facility. It weighs 18 tonnes. The gun can be made functional within 1.5 min during day and 2 min during night. It has tremendous fire power.
