Pune | Savitribai Phule Pune University: Curiosity among students about the mode of exam
Pune : Policenama online – Pune | The exam department of the Savitribai Phule Pune University conducts the examination of 6.5 lakh students of colleges in Pune, Nashik and Ahmednagar districts affiliated to it. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the university conducted online examinations but now, coronavirus cases are decreasing day by day.
Schools and colleges have started conducting classes by following the coronavirus guidelines. However, many students are still being taught through the online mode. There is confusion among students whether the exam will be conducted in an online or offline mode.
In the recently held meeting of the Board of Examinations, a decision on the issue was expected but a committee was set up to examine the issue. A meeting of the committee is going to be held next week. A decision will be taken whether the exam should be conducted in online or offline or in both formats.
Higher Education and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant said the state government wants the exams to be held in the offline mode. Some education experts are of the view that it is necessary to hold the exams in the offline mode.
However, some student organisations have demanded that exams should be held in the offline mode. Hence, there is curiosity among students about the mode of the examinations.
