Pune | State-level Patthe Bapurao award for veteran Tamasha artiste Raghuvir Khedkar
Pune : Policenama online – The state-level Patthe Bapurao award will be conferred on veteran Tamasha artiste Raghuvir Khedkar. The award is instituted by the Patthe Bapurao Pratisthan and Sanskrutik Kala Manadal.
It is one of the prestigious awards in the world of folk arts, particularly Tamasha.
Jayprakash Waghmare, the founder of Pratishthan, announced the names of awardees on Sunday. He said the Dr Bhaskarrao Khandge award for the Folk Art will be given to Lavani singer and proficient artiste Pushpa Satarkar. The Bapusaheb Jintikar award will be given to Shahir Sureshkumar Vairalkar.
Pratishthan president Devidas Patil and executive president Satyajit Khandge said the awards have been given to folk artistes every year who are doing remarkable work in the folk arts in different categories.
The award ceremony will be held on December 22, 2021 at 5.00 pm at the Balgandharv Rangmandir.
On the occasion of the award ceremony, Pratishthan has organised the Pune Lavani Mahotsav, which will be held from 1 pm to 8 pm.
Artiste Shahir Amar Punekar, Jay Ambika Kala Kentra (Sanasawadi), Aryabhushan Theater, Pune will perform in the Mahotsav. The balcony seats have been reserved only for women. Entry to the programme is for free.
