The Director of the Examination and Evaluation Board, Dr. Mahesh Kakade, has expressed confidence that the results for all degree courses in colleges affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will be announced by the end of July. Despite the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the university is making efforts to streamline the examination and evaluation process to ensure timely declaration of results.
The academic schedule of the university was severely impacted by the pandemic, leading to the rescheduling of exams. The summer session exams, which were originally scheduled for April-May, are now being conducted in July. The examination department is determined to declare the results promptly after the completion of the exams. Measures such as increasing the number of examination centers and expediting data entry have been implemented to expedite the process.
Timely declaration of results is crucial for students seeking further admission and for the rescheduling of academic schedules. Dr. Kakade stated that examinations for most courses in the science department have been completed, and the commerce branch exams will conclude this week. As a result, the majority of the results are expected to be announced by the end of July. The university is taking all necessary steps to ensure that students receive their results on time.
However, Dr. Kakade highlighted the importance of timely completion of internal assessment marking by colleges. He expressed concern that some colleges are lagging behind in this regard, emphasizing that delays in the internal evaluation process can impact the overall result declaration timeline for the entire university. He urged colleges to expedite the grading process to avoid unnecessary delays.
In a positive development, the results for all engineering colleges affiliated with SPPU are expected to be declared on Friday, July 14th. The engineering exams were conducted last month, and students can anticipate the announcement of their results soon.
