Pune | Warje police book woman for beating police
Pune : Policenama online – A woman who came to lodge a complaint at a police chowki in Warje Malwadi beat police women on duty and also came to blows with the police officer who tried to intervene. The incident took place on Sunday. Warje police booked the women under relevant sections.
The accused woman is 21-year-old. A 26-year-old police personnel had lodged a complaint against her.
According to the police, the accused woman went to a police chowki in Warje Marwadi. She started arguing with the police. The complainant police marshal reached the chowki and tried to intervene. She pacified the woman and took the complaint.
After some time, the accused woman came back and started arguing. She also abused the police. The police tried to pacify her but in vain. She also abused the police officer in charge of the chowki. Police sub-inspector (PSI) Sonali Kathle is looking into the case.
