Pune: Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan Lauded For His Social Initiatives by Indian Army on 76th Army Day

Pune : Policenama online  –  In a commendable recognition of his unwavering commitment to social initiatives in collaboration with the Indian Army, Punit Balan, Chairman of the ‘Punit Balan Group’ in Pune, was honoured with a prestigious certificate by the Central Command of the Indian Defence Forces. The ceremony took place on the 76th Army Day and saw Lieutenant General N.S. Raja Subramani, AVSM, SM, VSM (GOC in-C Central Command), present the citation.

Punit Balan, a young entrepreneur, has consistently been at the forefront of various social activities, particularly those aligned with the Indian Army’s initiatives. His dedication to serving the nation was acknowledged earlier by Joint Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. B.S. Raju, who felicitated him for his contributions in the Kashmir Valley.

Notably, Punit Balan has played a pivotal role in educational endeavours, taking charge of ten schools operated by the Indian Army in sensitive areas like Baramulla, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pehalgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Uri, Tregam, Ven, and Ghures. Additionally, he oversees the Dagar School for special children in Baramulla, a testament to his commitment to inclusive education.

Furthermore, Punit Balan has been actively involved in empowering youth affected by terrorism in Kashmir through sports initiatives. His relentless efforts in this regard have garnered recognition, including a certificate from the Army.

Expressing his gratitude, Punit Balan stated, “Every one of us has deep respect, love, and pride for the Indian Army, which serves the country round the clock. It is a matter of great joy and pride for me to be honoured by the Central Command of the same Army. I consider it my fortune that today I am making a small contribution in service to the Army. As my motto is ‘Nation First,’ I will continue to do my best for the Indian Army in the future.”
