Pune : Policenama onlineThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rainfall in Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on December 28 and 29.

As a result of the formation of western disturbance over north-west India from December 26 and another western disturbance over central India from December 27, rain is expected in various parts of Maharashtra, adding to the woes of farmers.

A few districts in Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada are likely to be affected as the IMD has predicted rainfall with a thunderstorm at a few places while light showers are expected at other places.

The westerly winds over central India will bring rain to the State on December 28 and 29. As a result, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada are likely to experience rainfall, accompanied by a thunderstorm.
