Sanjay Shirsat’s remarks for Andhare insult to all women: Baramati NCP MP Supriya Sule

Mumbai, Mar 31 (UNI) – NCP MP Supriya Sule on Friday expressed her displeasure against alleged insult of Uddhav-faction Shiv Sena leader Sushma Adhare, saying this is Chhatrapati Shivaraya’s Maharashtra who considered women as mothers. (NCP MP Supriya Sule)

Ms Sule has expressed strong anger after Shinde group MLA from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Sanjay Shirsat’s statement against Andhare.

No matter how strong opposition there is in politics, the politicians here have always maintained an air of sophistication while talking about women.

Sule has also reminded that Maharashtra is a very polite and civilized state with the ideological heritage of many great men. Shirsat’s statement about Andhare two-three days ago, is an insult to all women, she added.

NCP leader also said that if such offensive and derogatory statements are made with reference to women working at the top, be it politics or social causes, then the question of the safety of women working at the grassroot level becomes more inflammatory, she added.
