Satara : Policenama online Satara Jawan Martyred | A BSF jawan, hailing from Jawli taluka in Satara district who had joined the duty three months ago, has become a martyr. Prathamesh Sanjay Pawar was on duty and he died in an encounter at 10.30 pm. A pall of gloom has descended on the Jawli taluka after the news of his death spread. He is survived by parents and a brother.
Prathamesh had nurtured the dream of joining the BSF since his childhood. He completed his dream. He had joined the BSF three months ago. Prathamesh Pawar who had joined the duty at the age of 22 has sacrificed his life for the country. His mortal remains will be brought on Sunday to Bamnoli alias Kudal village.
On the night of May 19, Jawan Prathamesh Pawar was on duty in the Jammu Samba block area. Suddenly, an encounter started with terrorists. While firing at the terrorists, Prathamesh was injured by a bullet and he was seriously injured. He passed away during medical treatment. The news of his death was given to his family by BSF officers.
