Sensex down over 100 pts

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) – The equity market remained under pressure on Tuesday too, as the BSE Sensex dropped 109 points at 59,179.17 in opening trade as selling was seen in Metal, Oil and Gas and Technology stocks.
The Nifty too slipped 32.05 pts at 17,360.65.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 59,346.61 and 59,483.72 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,440.45 and 17,346.20 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap rose 0.46 pc and small Cap by 0.29 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.
The losers were ITC by 1.52 pc to Rs 376.35, Reliance Industries by 1.35 pc to Rs 2337, Tata Steel by 1.04 pc to Rs 105 and IndusInd Bank by 0.75 pc to Rs 1074.75.
The gainers were Asian Paints by 1.83 pc to Rs 2800, M& M by 1.47 pc to Rs 1275.35, Tata Motors by 1.24 pc to Rs 423.10.
