Sisodia and Satyendar Jain resign from ministerial posts
New Delhi, Feb 28(UNI) – Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain | Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendar Jain resigned from their ministerial posts on Tuesday. (Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain)
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accepted the resignation of both the ministers. Sisodia is on five-day CBI remand in connection with the alleged excise scam. At the same time, Health Minister Satyendar Jain is already in jail in a money laundering case.
Sisodia was in charge of the crucial departments in the Delhi Government like Education, Public Works, Finance, Excise, Energy and Water. As Satyendar Jain was in Tihar Jail, Sisodia was also looking after the work of Satyendar Jain’s departments including health.
Sisodia was arrested on Sunday after a long interrogation by the CBI in the alleged excise scam case. He is currently on CBI remand for five days.
