SPPU Chowk-Pune Traffic Police | Changes in traffic from University Chowk to facilitate flyover construction from December 23
Pune : Policenama online – Construction for the proposed two-tier flyover at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Chowk will start soon. In this context, the Pune traffic police have introduced some changes to traffic arrangements on this route from December 23 to avoid traffic jams.
The route from SPPU Chowk-Pashan Road via Superintendent of Police (SP) Office to Abhimanshree Society to Baner Road, Sakal Nagar back to SPPU Chowk will be one-way. Vehicles coming from Shivajinagar and heading towards Baner and Pashan should use this route. Moreover, vehicles coming from Pashan and heading towards SPPU Chowk should use the route from Abhimanshree Society Baner Road Chowk to go towards SPPU Chowk. There will be ‘No Parking’ on both sides of roads on this one-way route.
The road from Ganesh Khind Road near Cosmos Bank entering Bhosale Nagar will be one-way. Vehicles coming from Bhosale Nagar on Ganesh Khind Road should use Range Hills Road. Heavy vehicles will be banned from 7 am to 11 pm from Baner Chowk at Abhimanshree Society to Saykar Chowk road.
There will be ‘No Parking’ and ‘No Halting’ on both sides of the road from Rajiv Gandhi Bridge, Aundh to SPPU Chowk. The changes to traffic will be on an experimental basis from December 23 to facilitate the flyover construction. This was revealed by DCP (Traffic Police) Rahul Shrirame.
