Pune: As soon supreme court upholds UGC circular and nod green signal to conduct final year exams, the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Nitin Karmalkar said, a period of one and half month is more than enough to plan and conduct the final year examinations.
Karmalkar said, “We have been preparing to conduct final year exams before SC verdict to come, but now when SC has delivered its verdict we will be giving sufficient time to the students to prepare for the examinations, and accordingly exam schedule will be made”.
The proctored online entrance examinations conducted by the university for undergraduate and postgraduate courses received a good response. Students from rural areas had also answered these examinations, so the option of online examinations will be considered for final year examinations as well. But Karmalkar said that other alternatives will also be weighed in.
