Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 3 (UNI) – ACB News | An inspector posted at the State Excise Department of Bhokardan, was arrested by Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar unit of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant. (ACB News)

Inspector Sanjay Mahadev Pawar had demanded Rs 30,000 from Complainant as bribe for renewal of permit room hotel at Mahora in Bhokardhan taluka of Jalna district, sources in ACB here said.

After bargaining, he settled for Rs 15,000.

However, reluctant to pay the bribe amount, the complainant lodged a complaint with the city unit of ACB, whose team laid a trap and caught Pawar red-handed with the bribe money.

A case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act has been filed at the Bhokardan police station against the arrested accused, sources added.
