Sushil Kumar may be sentenced to death or may get life imprisonment

New Delhi : Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, who was arrested in the wrestler Sagar Dhankad murder case on May 4, at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi, realizes his mistake. On reaching behind bars, Sushil Kumar broke down and wept bitterly. Sushil is charged with kidnapping, murder and criminal conspiracy, due to which he can be given life imprisonment or death sentence.

Delhi High Court lawyer Prashant Manchanda said that Sushil Kumar is charged with kidnapping, murder and criminal conspiracy. In the event of these allegations being proved, one can be sentenced to a minimum of life imprisonment and up to a maximum of death sentence. Apart from this, fines can also be imposed. All three charges can be sentenced separately. However, the punishment for these three offenses will run concurrently. Therefore only the formula for minimum and maximum is applied.

Sushil Kumar sitting on the lockup floor was regretting his mistake. He started crying bitterly in the lockup itself. When the police pulled him out, he admitted his mistake in front of the senior officer and said that he just wanted to scare him. At the same time, he spent the entire night awake in the custody of the crime branch. He even refused to eat dinner. He kept crying throughout the night in custody. However Ajay was sitting calmly and he did not even eat food.

Sushil stumbled in the order of the conversation and admitted his mistake in front of the senior officer. He said that he just wanted to scare him. So he beat up Sagar and his companions. Weapons were also brought there just to scare. The video of this entire incident was also made to create fear. He said that even after the incident, he was still at the Chhatrasal Stadium. But when Sagar’s death was reported due to injury, he fled from the scene.
